About ChefWannabe

Welcome!  I am Chris, aka ChefWannabe.  That is what I am!  I am just a home chef, who loves sharing recipes, food, life, music, and random things that make you go, "Hmmm".  I am 48, the adoring wife, of George, mommy to a 7 year old Chug and 7 year old Chihuahua, and Nonna to some beautiful grand-babies.  I am also a perfectly imperfect child of God.   I am the youngest of 10 children and refer to my siblings by their birth order number in my blog posts. HA!  Being the youngest explains a lot about me.  Be warned.

Here are some things I am passionate about:
-my faith
-my family
-music
-laughing and humor
-doing my part to make the world a better place
-eating dinners around the table, communicating with your children
-animals, especially dogs
-stop bullying in schools (my innter teacher remains)
-treating others as I would want to be treated
-my YOUTUBE channel (go subscribe to Chefwannabe's Life)
-COOKING!

I suppose there are other things I am passionate about, but these are the ones off the top of my head.

I am so excited to have you here.  I strive to spread encouragement and to share great food with you, so you can share it with those you love.  I mean, food IS love, right?  So many memories are made around the dinner table, in the kitchen and the time together is priceless.  (Just make sure to bail for the bathroom in an emergency kind of fashion before cleanup time, it worked for me for years)  Come on, don't judge me, you all know I don't like doing dishes!

Please, enjoy my website, join me on social media, and cook GOOD food!  I invite you to join me for hits and sometimes misses of my kitchen AND my life.

  1. Could you please tell me where you grew up? I think you are the only person I have ever heard say "anyhoodle" besides my Dad and sister. We grew up in Ringwood, Oklahoma.(A reaally small town--300 people). Thanks
