When I did this recipe I was trying to recreate a particular version we had eaten before and always got at our local flea market. Yes the sazon does have a lot of sodium, precisely why this is only an occasional treat but I am excited to try your way next time I make them!! I LOVE when you guys share your versions or recipes or change ups to my recipes. Thanks for reading Nicole!!!FoodThoughtsOfaChefWannabehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03755427081979825727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3053852173809963859.post-24968472652611176212013-06-21T10:36:12.903-07:002013-06-21T10:36:12.903-07:00My family (also Puerto Rican) does small cut beef ...My family (also Puerto Rican) does small cut beef and potatoes. Instead of all that sazon (lots of sodium) 1 pack with peppers (sauteed with meat). Then add Goya tomato sauce to cook the potatoes. Use a slotted spoon to drain off the sauce so you don't get soggy. I recommend microwaving the potatoes a little while cooking your beef to save some timeAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04288510417409839088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3053852173809963859.post-9150915071724633102013-03-19T09:19:05.383-07:002013-03-19T09:19:05.383-07:00There's a sauce I make for fried platanos( pla...There's a sauce I make for fried platanos( plantains) that's delicious and would go great with these too. mix together a little Mayonaisse, ketchup, garlic powder, and a little hot sauce( I use Frank's red hot sauce), just enough to add a little spice.Yumm.cassandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04120520463970721304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3053852173809963859.post-91973294402297913842012-07-29T17:04:14.841-07:002012-07-29T17:04:14.841-07:00OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS! I might go for a spicy homemade tomato sauce with lots of chili flakes.Kitchen Testedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02343304799585097587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3053852173809963859.post-5033819135591344062012-05-17T19:51:38.860-07:002012-05-17T19:51:38.860-07:00A white cheese Jalepeno sauce would be good!A white cheese Jalepeno sauce would be good!emily54https://www.blogger.com/profile/04020110366284662660noreply@blogger.com
